When Tuesday starts the week

As only my UK readers know, yesterday was a bank holiday, so today was the first day of the week. One may think it makes things easier: we only have four days until the weekend. But it struck me today that this is not the case: we lose one day of work that we have to pick up by working more in the remaining four days. If on top of that you are moving houses and working on many things at once, as it is our case, and most people you must deal with were also off on Monday, and you end up with an exhausting Tuesday. Moral of the story: when Tuesday starts the week, it is Hell. And it might also be the case for the rest of the week. Second moral of the story: I hate when the week starts on Tuesday.

I feel your pain. I'm currently packing up (again) for a trans-continental move. No bank holidays here but we will have to deal with the reduced and sometimes unpredictable working hours of Ramadan during our move.

It's a capitalist plot.

As a retired elementary public school teacher, I hear what you are saying about those four-day weeks! We would look forward to having them, then work like mad for the rest of the week!:-)
